Exhibtion

Enjoy the story of the 5th Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch in a dedicated exhibition.  “Love and Respect in the Victorian Age” tells their story amongst some key pieces of the Buccleuch Collection, including silver, porcelain, jewellery, books and manuscripts, paintings and a letter from Queen Victoria.

Victorian Kitchen

Step back into the hub of Victorian life at Bowhill.  Once the engine room of the home, serving up to 300 guests a day, the restored kitchen is a fascinating look at life in Bowhill’s hey-day.

Adventure Playground

Zip, climb and slide the day away in the woodland adventure playground.  A much loved attraction for children (and big kids!) from all over the Scottish Borders and beyond.

Old Kitchen Café

Treat yourself to a delicious treat or local gifts in the Old Kitchen Café. Enjoy a light lunch or delicious cakes from the Dukes cook, Betty Cook. Located in the Courtyard area, next to the toilets, office, and Victorian Kitchen.

Open 1st June to end of August.
