Bowhill Halloween Trail

Terrifying Trail

Begin your adventure on the Halloween Trail and step into the magical world of Mary Dore at Bowhill, inspired by real Buccleuch heritage and historical figures. Follow the clues through the grounds, helping Mary recover her lost legacy and gather the magical firewood she needs to rebuild her cottage – with a little help from the eccentric Duke of Montagu, ancestor of the current Duke, along the way!

But keep your wits about you… the Duke’s gamekeepers are watching. Can you outsmart them, collect all the firewood tokens and uncover the magic hidden within the forest?

Bowhill Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch

Once you’ve completed the trail and helped Mary gather the magical firewood, it’s time to head to the Pumpkin Patch!

Little ones can grab a mini wheelbarrow and set off to find their perfect pumpkin, with plenty of fun lawn games to enjoy along the way.

Each child ticket includes one pumpkin to take home and enjoy carving!

Adventure Playground & Soft Play

Step beyond the pumpkin patch and discover even more hauntingly good fun. Little monsters can run wild in our woodland playground – with flying foxes, climbing forts, twisting slides and more to keep them busy.

For indoor thrills, head to the Courtyard soft play – the perfect spot for extra energy-burning adventures.

And when it’s time to refuel, gather in the Playground to toast marshmallows over the fire or sip a steaming hot chocolate from the Old Horse Box

Halloween Crafts

Crafts & Cinema

In the Courtyard Gallery, little ghouls can get crafty with spooky-themed activities – from simple colouring sheets to creating their own creepy masterpieces with a mix of materials. Just pop in!

For a slower pace, head to the Bowhill Theatre and settle in for a spooky cinema screening, where a classic themed film awaits. First-come first served seating.
