Christine Clark

Christine’s paintings attempt to reflect the beauty of the human spirit as it turns to nature for renewal. These intimate narratives, suspended in time, contemplate the land and our deep connection to nature.

In Clark’s work, nature seems to exist in a suspended realm, discovering visual intricacies of how we experience collective moments, memories, connections to place, and the inherent poetry of the landscape.  The scent of a perfume or flower; the touch of fabric; or the sound of music, can elicit a sense of connection to a specific place, moment in time or loved one.

The idea of being between conscious and unconscious intermediate space is also very important to Clarks work, drifting between empirical reality and imagination.

Christine studied painting at Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 2006, she currently works from her Edinburgh studio at Haymarket.

Katy Eccles

Imprint Casts is the work of artist Katy, who captures the fleeting beauty of nature through delicate botanical casting. Using flowers and foliage hand-picked from her mother’s garden and surrounding woodland in Fife, Katy presses each piece into clay and casts it in plaster to preserve every fine detail.

She works with grey or terracotta clay, finishing the casts in natural plaster or painting the background with repurposed household tester pots.

Having learned the craft from her mum – the original maker behind Imprint – Katy now leads the practice, creating work for galleries, interiors, and personal commissions. From wedding bouquets to memorial flowers, each piece offers a lasting connection to a special moment or place.

Martha Ellis

Martha is inspired by the often overlooked, she strives to capture the essence of a place or moment in time, from studying the wildlife that inhabits a set location or the people who pass through a specific place. She aims to encourage visitors to look and see more in our environment, opening a space for reflection. By creating bold and punchy stylised cut-out art it makes people see things in a new light.

Taisir Gibreel

Taisir Gibreel is known to most as a textile artist who draws on her Sudanese and British roots to create a vision of colorful and abstract designs that are based on geometric interpretations of the rural Scottish landscape in which she lives.

Claire Gillie Thompson

Claire Gillie-Thompson is a contemporary artist specialising in floral collage painting. My painting practice has evolved recently to explore floral designs using a method of tissue paper collage. Working in a bold and expressive manner I build layers of paint & coloured collage paper which I have prepared myself. Using the paper I tear & manipulate shapes to create the idea of petals & brush strokes. Adding more paint and oil pastels on top of the collage I wish to create bright, raw spontaneous floral artworks all unique & striking in their nature.
