Build Your Day
An indoor visit to Bowhill House brings history to life: to enter the Victorian Kitchen, the drawing room or dining room is to step back in time, and the wide acres of Bowhill Estate make the ideal place to learn about nature, wildlife and our relationship with the environment.
We will help you plan your day to target the four capacities of the Curriculum for Excellence whilst ensuring that everyone has fun at the same time.
Education Charges
Educational visits to Bowhill are now free.
We can also arrange to visit your school if you wish, in advance of your visit or as follow up, or to carry out specific projects. There may be a charge for this – please call us for details.
Access Information
Please let us know if any of your pupils have any access requirements. With the exception of one room, the entire House is accessible to wheelchair users. Our toilet facilities are also fully accessible. Some parts of the Estate are also wheelchair accessible, and most of our activities are carried out in wheelchair friendly spaces.
We have worked extensively with ASN pupils and we would be happy to discuss your requirements with you. Our Access Statement covering a range of different requirements can be found here, but please do not hesitate to get in touch with us should you wish to discuss anything further, or have a specific question that is not covered.
