Camping Facilities
The basic facilities for campers are temporarily brought on site for the summer. They provide an affordable camping experience in a beautiful location.
Reception Cabin – where you can check in from 3pm to 6pm with check out by 10am. Please arrive within these hours as the Park vehicle gates close at 7pm.
Toilets and Showers – showers with hot water are available on site. Unfortunately we are not able to provide disabled toilets or facilities.
Washing Up Facilities – two sinks available with cold water for washing up. This water can also be used as drinking water.
Eating & Drinking
On site you’ll find The Kitchen at Restoration Yard which serves breakfast and lunch, pre-booking is advised especially at weekends. Our takeaway, The Larder, offers food and drinks for both two legged and four legged visitors!
In Dalkeith and the surrounding area you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants and take-aways.
Enjoy Dalkeith Country Park
Dalkeith Country Park is home to Restoration Yard, where you’ll find an amazing store, restaurant and wellbeing space, in addition to Fort Douglas adventure play park and Go Ape. You can get 25% off admission to Fort Douglas if you book your tickets at the same time as your camping experience.
What’s more, this is all situated in a stunning 1,000 acre country park with waymarked walks and cycle paths to enjoy. You can enjoy wildlife spotting while exploring the historical architecture of our beautiful park.
